Centrifugal Dryer Dewatering Machine

Centrifugal Dryer Dewatering Machine

Introducing ASG’s dewatering machine – a highly effective, yet low-energy consuming piece of drying equipment that utilizes centrifugal force to partially remove water from plastic materials. This machine is designed to handle materials with high water content and reduce it to minimal levels, making it an essential first step in our PE film washing line and PET bottle washing line.

Working Principle

ASG’s dewatering machine, or horizontal centrifuge, operates similarly to a friction washer. It features a central shaft with multiple panels or paddles that spin rapidly inside a mesh screen tunnel. The entire unit is contained within a metal container powered by an external electric motor.

When plastic material is introduced via the vertical feeder, the shaft rotates at approximately 1,000 RPM. The centrifugal force throws the material against the mesh screen tunnel, separating water which is then collected for recycling. The partially dried plastic proceeds to the next drying equipment, usually a thermal dryer, with moisture content reduced to about 20-30%.

ASG’s centrifugal dryer not only removes water but also serves as a friction washer using cold water to cool and further clean plastic flakes through scrubbing, ensuring comprehensive processing.
