Description

PET bottles typically arrive at recycling facilities in compacted bales—bundles of plastic bottles secured with metal wire. The initial step in the recycling process involves “debaling” these bottles to allow them to flow freely onto conveyor systems. Once debaled, the bottles proceed to downstream equipment for label removal or crushing. As the first piece of machinery in our standard PET bottle washing line, the debaler machine plays a crucial role in establishing efficient material flow throughout your recycling operation.

How It Works

While manually opening PET bottle bales remains an option, it requires significant labor resources and is typically feasible only in regions with low labor costs. For operations seeking to optimize efficiency and reduce labor dependency, ASG Machine‘s debaler machine provides complete automation of this process. Our equipment utilizes strategically positioned, slow-moving hooks that securely grapple the wires binding the bales together. The entire bale of plastic bottles can be deposited directly into the debaler’s vertical feeder using a forklift or similar material handling equipment, enabling continuous processing with minimal operator intervention.
