Description
This is the first drying process in our standard PET bottle washing line. This high-speed dewatering machine can directly remove most of the water from washed PET flakes. To achieve this effect, centrifugal force is utilized to expel water outward.
Working Principle
This high-speed dewatering machine operates very similarly to our high-speed washing machine. The core component of both machines is a motor-driven shaft equipped with numerous blades, surrounded by a screen mesh, with the entire assembly enclosed in a metal housing.
Dirty PET bottle flakes are fed into the vertical feeder, where the rotating shaft flings the PET flakes outward at nearly 1,000 RPM. Water flows out through the screen mesh and is collected for recycling. The PET flakes become partially dry and proceed to the next drying process, typically hot air drying. Overall, our dewatering machine will reduce the moisture content of PET flakes to approximately 20%-30%.
