This is an advanced cold-washing machine system designed for thoroughly cleaning PET flakes. The high-speed friction washer from ASG Machine represents a highly efficient solution for cleaning plastic flakes through friction technology. In our standard washing line configuration, the friction washer utilizes cold water to further scrub away contaminants directly following the hot washing process.
How it works
At the center of ASG Machine‘s high-speed friction washer is a long, fast-spinning shaft equipped with multiple tilted panels and paddles. Surrounding this rotating shaft is a mesh screen tunnel that serves the dual purpose of dewatering and filtering small contaminants such as dirt particles. A large rectangular case encloses the entire apparatus, with strategically positioned water jets and nozzles aimed at the mesh screen. The entire machine is positioned at an incline of approximately 15 degrees, allowing dirty plastic flakes to be fed into a vertical feeder at the lower end, while clean flakes exit through the higher end to proceed to the drying phase.
The rotating shaft within our friction washer operates at nearly 1,000 rotations per minute. As plastic flakes enter the machine, the material undergoes high-speed mixing, where friction between individual plastic flakes effectively scrubs off dirt and debris. Water is continuously introduced through water jets that spray onto the mesh screen, preventing potential clogging and ensuring optimal cleaning efficiency.
