Twin Shaft Shredder

Description

Our heavy-duty twin-shaft shredders serve as an essential component in our standard PET plastic washing line, particularly designed for washing plants that require larger processing capacities. This low-speed, high-torque machine efficiently pre-cuts entire bales of PET bottle plastics at high volume speeds.

How It Works

The core of our twin-shaft shredder features shear blades mounted on two hexagonal shafts that rotate into each other, creating a precise cutting and shredding motion. These hook-style shear blades enable the shredder to process large volumes of PET plastic quietly, reducing them into random smaller pieces between 1-5 inches. The low rotational speed of the rotors also ensures minimal dust generation during operation.

Since our twin-shaft shredders are typically deployed for the most demanding applications, the frame and structure are constructed using high-thickness sheets and tubular steel. The shear blades undergo specialized heat treatment and are manufactured from premium SKD11 steel (D2 equivalent) to maintain sharpness and resist dulling. Depending on your capacity requirements, we offer a variety of standard twin-shaft shredder models to choose from.
